With BMW and MINI dealerships in Manchester, Rochdale, Bolton and Liverpool, and stand-alone Land Rover and motorbikes showrooms in Manchester, Williams was established in Manchester in 1909 and currently employs over 500 people in the region making it the largest BMW franchise in the North West.
FC United General Manager, Andy Walsh, commented: "We are looking forward to our partnership with Williams helping both of us to provide the North West community with quality and excitement over the coming twelve months.
“This is a prestigious deal reflecting the fact that our fans, our team and our inclusive goals of community involvement, supporter control and a winning team are gaining the respect of the business and wider community.”
Marketing Manager of Williams Group, Alison Mulvey said: “We are delighted to be partnering with FC United for the coming season, the club has come a very long way in a short space of time.
“We were immediately impressed with their commitment to working with the community and the way they are offering something different to other organisations in their sector and we saw ourselves reflected in that.

“We believe that the relationship we build with FC United will benefit both parties enormously and look forward to working with them over the coming months and hopefully years.”
The deal will see the Williams name used on club stationary and in media advertising – the name will not feature on the club shirt. Williams has also become part of FC United’s business networking club the 127 Club.
FC United is currently the great romance story of football, with attendances of up to 6,000 at Bury Football Club's Gigg Lane ground, in a league where average match attendances are around 90.
In its first season of existence, the club gained promotion and also won the Non-League Paper’s “Club of the Year” award. It is a supporter-owned and community-based club, aiming to draw in all communities of Greater Manchester with a series of initiatives including youth teams and affordable pricing on match days.
Williams has a history of partnering with community organisations throughout the North West and has previously worked with a number of national and regional charities.
Recently Williams has worked with: the Claire House Hospice in Wirral, Springhill Hospice in Rochdale, the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Appeal and MENCAP.
