Debbie drove away her new car after entering the competition through her local radio station 105.4 Century FM. After passing through the first three stages of the competition she cancelled her romantic holiday with husband Neil to Spain in order to re take her driving test for the final task of the competition.
Debbie, former Miss Wigan said: “It was great sitting in the driving seat, when I drove out of the Williams dealership I thought that someone was going to stop me and say it has all been a mistake.”
She continued. “ Even when I was told I didn’t believe this day would come. It is a beautiful car to drive and I am going to make sure I take great care of it. All I have to do now is plan some road trips! “
Debbie entered the competition, as she needed a car for her daily 100 miles round trip to work in Liverpool.
Debbie, who works at the Instep, said, “ My old car began having problems and it was proving a real difficulty getting to work. I love working with the children but I also love living in Wigan. With my new car the problem has gone, I’m still overwhelmed how lucky I am!”
After Debbie heard the news live on the Century FM Breakfast Show with Darren Proctor she was whisked off to the Williams new ‘state of the art’ dealership in Rochdale where she spent the morning being pampered to champagne and breakfast.
Alison Mulvey, Group Marketing Manager for Williams BMW said: “I was delighted to hand over the keys for Debbie’s brand new car and to see her happy she was to drive away her dream car which she had specially designed herself. ”
