The MINI Paceman range of vehicles are a smooth and sleek set of vehicles, designed to take advantage of MINI's engineering technology while delivering the experience of a stylish and sophisticated city travel car. MINI states that the Paceman has 'design with bite', combining the best in MINI drive experiences with a stylistic look that brings an artistic flair to the vehicle range. Available in Cooper, Cooper ALL4, Cooper S, Cooper S ALL4, Cooper D, Cooper D ALL4, Cooper SD, Cooper SD ALL4 and John Cooper Works models, the Paceman range is capable of fulfilling every drive potential.
Visual highlights of the Paceman range include the lengthened doors, the long shoulder line, and the slanting roofline, all of which work together to give the Paceman a look that is as unique as it is unmistakable. The standard Piano Black Exterior package is as stylish as it is classic, adding further touches to the side scuttles and the surrounds of the headlights and rear lights.
The Paceman's sports silhouette belies the true functionality of the interior. The wide-opening doors give easy access to the luggage space, which begins with 330 litres but can expand to an impressive 1,080 litres. The Paceman is also capable of undergoing extensive personalisation, with MINI's impressive range of interior trims, fabrics, materials and colours all available to the range. Infotainment is provided through MINI Connected, which provides drive information as easily as it provides in-car entertainment through the Dynamic Music system.
The Paceman range has a number of four-cylinder engines available, depending on the model chosen. Overall, the range can reach maximum speeds of up to 142mph, and can achieve 0-60mph in under 11 seconds. The combined fuel consumption can reach 67.3mpg, and the CO2 emissions can be as low as 111g/km.
Safety features in the Paceman range include six airbags as standard, protecting the driver and passengers through a comprehensive suite around the head and upper body. Seatbelt pre-tensioners and belt force-limiters prevent excessive movement in untoward situations, and there are two ISOFIX attachment points for the easy fitting of child safety seats. The Paceman uses Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which activates if diminishing levels of grip are detected. There is also the option of Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which also includes Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC).
