Williams Group Employees Prepare for Charity Run

The energetic team from the Williams Group are limbering up for a challenging assault course in aid of Macmillan Cancer.

106 members of staff from across all 14 Williams retail centres are currently enduring rigorous training programmes ahead of the Adrenaline Rush on Saturday 6 August at Heaton Park, Manchester.

The urban assault course will incorporate thrilling obstacles and some daring challenges such as mud trenches, ring grappling and gigantic slides along with plenty of running.

So far, over £1,800 has been raised for Macmillan Cancer - the UK’s largest charity which provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

Claire Eden, group administrator at the Williams Group head office in Bolton, said: “We are very much looking forward to taking part in the Adrenaline Rush next month. We are training extremely hard as we know the course will be tough and we’ll certainly be put through our paces.

“It is great that we’re able to raise money for a fantastic cause whilst also receiving much needed encouragement from our colleagues and also customers.”

Alexandra Cook, development director at the Williams Group, commented: “As a Group we are very committed to raising money for worthy causes and to have over 100 members of staff taking part, just shows how dedicated everyone is.

“We wish those who are taking part the very best of luck.”
