Williams Land Rover Continues Fundraising Commitment To Maggie's

The ongoing partnership between Williams, one of Manchester’s oldest family businesses, and Maggie’s Cancer Centres, is being celebrated in 2021 with a range of creative fundraising plans.

Williams, is committed to raising money to help Maggie’s continue to deliver its vital services during the pandemic including free online counselling, information and advice to people diagnosed with cancer.

The latest initiative is the first ever Williams & Maggie’s Made with Love recipe collection - an opportunity for people to share a recipe, make a donation and be featured in the digital recipe book alongside some surprise guest bakers. The recipe could be a simple family favourite or a timeless classic passed down over the generations. Whatever the recipe, the Williams team are encouraging people to submit their favourites to help support Maggie’s. Upload your recipe HERE.

The Williams & Maggie’s Made with Love fundraising campaign launches with a Valentine’s weekend treat. An exclusive Williams & Maggie’s chocolate orange brownie selection is being baked by the sisters at family firm, The Brownie Post. Boxes of six brownies are £16.50 plus a £3 donation to Maggie’s which will be matched by Williams.

A further donation from The Brownie Post will also be made for every gift message purchased with the exclusive brownie offer.

For those who simply cannot wait then the delicious brownies, baked fresh every day, are available to order HERE today at The Brownie Post.

Margaret Orton Williams, Chairman of the company, said, “As a keen baker, I know the joy that baking and sharing good recipes can bring. I’m known for baking 800 mince pies for our staff each Christmas which I thoroughly enjoy. Now I’m looking forward to coming up with a recipe for our 'Made with Love' recipe book and trying out those uploaded to our website to feature in the ultimate collection.”

Jessica Ruth, Maggie’s Centre Fundraiser Manchester, added: “One in two people will develop cancer at some point and our service spans everything from financial and benefits advice through to help with how to share cancer news with family members. We are truly grateful for the amazing fundraising work that Williams is undertaking and the creativity and kindness is very much appreciated.”

Marie de Bonth of The Brownie Post, said: “As a neighbour of Maggie’s Centre at The Christie, we are aware of the extraordinary work they do to help people at a time of intense need. We are delighted to support the Made with Love campaign through baking sumptuous chocolate orange brownies that we hope will be ordered for friends and family to enjoy and donate at the same time.”
