What is an MOT

An MOT checks vital aspects of your motorcycle to ensure that it’s roadworthy and safe. It’s mandatory for all bikes that are aged three years or more. A successful MOT results in a certificate that’s valid for 12 months – before this time elapses, your bike will need to be tested again.

How can I help my BIKE pass its MOT?

Around 1.5 million vehicles fail their MOT due to simple things such as faulty bulbs, too little tyre tread, or even empty windscreen washer fluid bottles. It’s possible to anticipate most of these issues with a quick check of your bike.

An MOT test is an annual inspection that is required by law on all vehicles in the UK that are older than 3 years. The test follows strict criteria that is set out by the DVSA to determine whether your car is fit for purpose and in roadworthy condition. A broad range of vehicle safety checks must be completed by an MOT garage with DVSA-approved examiners, including lights, tyres, seatbelts and emissions.
