Changes to the Motability Scheme

Motability Operations has announced upcoming changes to the vehicles available on the Motability Scheme. As part of these changes, BMW models will no longer be available to order through the scheme from 1 December 2025.

If you are currently planning to order a BMW on Motability, applications can still be submitted up to Sunday, 30 November 2025. After this date, new BMW applications will no longer be accepted.

We know how important the Motability Scheme is for many drivers, and we understand that this update may be disappointing for some customers. This change has been introduced by Motability Operations and not by BMW Group UK.

What This Means for Existing BMW Motability Drivers

If you currently drive a BMW on the Motability Scheme, you can continue using your vehicle for the full length of your existing agreement. When it’s time to renew, BMW models will no longer be available, however, you’ll still be able to choose from a range of MINI vehicles (excluding Convertible models), which will remain on the scheme. Our team will support you through the renewal process and help you explore the best options for your next vehicle.

MINI Will Continue on the Motability Scheme

While BMW models will leave the scheme, MINI vehicles (excluding Convertible models) will remain available. Eligible customers will still be able to enjoy a wide choice of MINI cars through Motability, with the same focus on accessibility and everyday ease.
