At Williams, we believe that investing in the next generation is about more than business—it’s about legacy, inspiration, and unlocking potential. As a proud family-run firm, we were honoured to sponsor Lowry’s 2025 Creative Writing Challenge and celebrate the brilliant voices of young writers from across the region.
“Supporting Lowry’s Creative Writing Challenge is about more than arts funding—it’s an investment in the next generation,” said Alexandra Cook, our Development Director here at Williams. “The confidence, creativity and joy these young writers show is a testament to what’s possible when we champion literacy and self-expression. We’re proud to be part of their journey.”
We live by a set of values that place people first. Whether it’s the families we serve or the colleagues we work alongside, our commitment to going above and beyond is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we supported this celebration of young voices—because helping children feel heard is exactly what the Difference is Williams is all about.
The Challenge showcased powerful and playful stories from children aged 7 to 11, reminding us that creativity flourishes when children are supported with care and belief. Hosted by Manchester poet Tony Walsh, the evening at The Lowry theatre captured tears, laughter, and the unmistakable magic that happens when young minds take the spotlight.
The Creative Writing Challenge stands for many of the same principles we uphold at Williams: nurturing talent, celebrating individuality, and creating a lasting impact. Our support for the initiative is for three years, and we look forward to celebrating young talent again in 2026.
