    With MINI Navigation. Wherever you are, it will locate your nearest charging location – and guide you straight to it.

    HOW DO CHARGING STATIONS WORK?

    If your nearest public access point features a cable that’s already attached, you simply connect it to your MINI Electric. Alternatively, use the cable supplied with your car to connect to the charger.

    In some cases, you can top up using the charging section of the MINI app – which is free to download from the App Store or google Play.

    You can pay as you go or with convenient monthly debits.

    WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW WHEN CHARGING?

    • Refrain from using extension cables.
    • You may need to set the current before charging.
    • When connecting, connect to the socket and to the vehicle, in that order.
    • When disconnecting, disconnect from the vehicle and the socket, in that order.
    • The charging process will only begin once the MINI Electric is locked.

    IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHARGING USING ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC) AND DIRECT CURRENT (DC)?

    AC is the most efficient charging method, particularly when charging overnight. However, if you wish to charge quickly, DC is the better solution.
