All Fully Electric MINI Cooper Models Receive 5 Star NCAP Rating

After the latest NCAP crash tests, all fully electric MINI Cooper models received the maximum score of 5 stars once again from the European Consumer Protection Institute. The MINI Cooper E, MINI Cooper SE and MINI Cooper JCW E all impressed with both passive and active safety.

The NCAP ratings are a standard recognised across Europe for safety, and allow for reliable comparisons of safety features across new vehicles. 5 Stars is the highest possible rating, and is only awarded to new vehicles that provide "excellent impact protection" and a "good range of comprehensive and practical technology for accident avoidance". The compact dimensions of fully electric MINI Cooper models don't compromise the comfortable spaciousness of the driving or passenger experience, or the safety of the vehicle.

The MINI Cooper E, MINI Cooper SE, and MINI Cooper JCW E all received top scores in four major safety areas. Occupant protection is the segment that the MINI models scored highest, achieving a safety compliance rate of 89%. A score so high tends to only be achieved by larger vehicle classes. A rating of 87% was achieved in child safety, 79% in safety assistants, and 77% in pedestrian protection. The perfect blend of sheer driving fun with the go-kart feel and a high level of safety highlights just how exceptional the fully electric MINI Cooper models really are.
