Holding the keys to a BMW 5 Series, the 22-year-old Chief Executive of Xplode Magazine, a resource for young people looking to overcome challenges to get into work, took three guests who have been helped by the charity and now serve on its Board of Trustees along with him for the ceremony.
It was the second Royal visit for Saeed who was invited to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in recognition of his contribution to the community.
Having spent much of his teen years in and out of care and risking exclusion from school, Saeed has used his personal experience for the good of others.
Saeed founded the charity behind Xplode Magazine aged just 15 to promote a positive image of young people. Over the past seven years he has helped thousands to improve their professional skills and created opportunities for them to find work in Greater Manchester.
Alongside being CEO at Xplode, Saeed was recently appointed Government Social Mobility Commissioner and is studying at Manchester Metropolitan University combined with serving as a Trustee to Young Manchester.
Saeed said: “I want to instill within every young person the idea that anything is possible. I’m committed to helping others and that brings its own rewards.
“It takes all of us to inspire young people with a world of opportunities so I’m hugely grateful to Williams Bolton BMW for enabling me to travel in luxury for this incredible experience. It was completely unexpected and when I turned up to collect my three guests their eyes lit up!What a treat to arrive in style in the capital!”
Williams Bolton BMW Head of Business, Owen Duncan said: “When we heard that Saeed was going to the Palace, we were delighted for him and wondered what we could do to make his day special.
“We offered him a BMW 5 Series so he could arrive looking and feeling great for such an important day, and we were delighted to hand over the keys to someone who is a great ambassador for the region and does amazing work in our community.”
