The energetic team from the Williams Group have raised over £5,600 for Macmillan Cancer after completing a gruelling assault course at the weekend.
Over 100 members of staff from across all 14 Williams retail centres took part in the Adrenaline Rush on Saturday 6 August at Heaton Park, Manchester.
The urban assault course incorporated thrilling obstacles and some daring challenges such as mud trenches, ring grappling and gigantic slides along with plenty of running.
In total 106 employees from across the Group took part and together they have successfully beaten the original fundraising target of £2,500. Colleagues, customers plus friends and family have donated very generously, helping them raise over £5,600 for Macmillan Cancer.
Macmillan Cancer is one of the UK’s largest charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer
Alexandra Cook, development director at the Williams Group, commented: “Taking part in the Adrenaline Rush was a great experience for everyone involved. Some areas of the course were very difficult but it was all worth it in the end, especially knowing that we have done it in aid of a fantastic cause.
“We would like to thank everyone who has kindly donated and we look forward to next year’s event.”
