TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS TREES ACT AS FOCAL POINT FOR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

The festive trees featured in each of our retail centres are a symbol of our ongoing partnership between the company and Maggie’s Cancer Centres.

The Trees of Love were the centrepiece of the Christmas decorations in Manchester at TraffordCity, Bolton, Liverpool, Rochdale and Stockport and were a focal point for festive fundraising.

We are delighted to announce that the donations at the trees, combined with funds raised through our traditional Christmas jumper day, amounted to over £1,800 for the charity.

Williams will also match what has been raised, so a total of £3,600 will go to Maggie's.

Maintaining a festive tradition that stretches back decades, the Williams Chairman, and granddaughter of founder John Henry Williams, Margaret Orton Williams, baked mince pies for the staff. Margaret was busy in the kitchen for a month ensuring staff across the five retail centres had the opportunity to enjoy her homemade festive baking.

Gifts were also sent to children of staff members at their homes in keeping with the annual tradition of the family firm that lives its values of “The Difference is Williams”.
