Williams Smash £24 for 2024 Target in Support of Maggies!

Williams are delighted to share that we have smashed our '£24 for 2024' challenge in support of Maggies, a wonderful cancer care charity that provides free expert care and support across centres across the UK. We had set the goal of raising £24 per employee in 2024 for Maggies, and are delighted to have raised over £30,000. Williams have been supporting Maggies since 2020, and endeavour to find new ways to raise increasing amounts of funding each year. Here are some of our highlights from 2024 in support of Maggies:

Braving The Flames...

Hayley and Steve from our wonderful corporate sales team plucked up the courage to walk through burning fire on a cold November evening. This was one of many adrenaline pumped fundraisers that Williams staff participated in throughout the year to help raise vital funds for Maggies.

Steve Deeney, Group Corporate Sales Manager, described the event as "an incredible night that was special to be a part of". Hayley Bergin, Group Direct Sales Manager, also described the fire walk as a "fantastic event for an amazing cause".

Bake Sales

Williams have hosted numerous bake sales in 2024 across our showrooms in the North West. Staff and customers alike have both been able to tuck into tasty sweet treats in support of Maggies! Pictured on the right is Sarah and Kate from Williams Liverpool at one of our most recent bake sales in October.

Bake sales have proved to be a great success in 2024, where Williams team members from across all departments and centres have contributed to making these events so worthwhile.

Williams JLR Ladies Fashion Show

In May, Williams hosted a ladies fashion show and pop-up shop in our Jaguar Land Rover showroom in aid of Maggies. Guests were welcomed with a glass of prosecco on arrival and were in with the chance of winning fabulous prizes on the night!

Williams teamed up with Colours. [Fun]Draising Fashion Shows to transform the showroom into a catwalk for an evening, where attendees were able to shop their favourite high street brands as 50% off or more!

Maggies Garden Days

Williams staff always thoroughly enjoy volunteering at Maggie's centres, helping to maintain the beautiful gardens surrounding the centre. Not even the heavy rain could dampen the spirits of team Williams, who can be seen here at the Maggie's centre in Manchester earlier in 2024.

Williams staff from across all centres made numerous visits to Maggie's centres across 2024, and are always delighted to help out where possible!

Christmas Jumper Day

Williams always love celebrating the festive period with Christmas jumper day. Staff at every Williams site came into work in some brilliant (and some not so brilliant) festive Christmas jumpers, and all donated to Maggies on this day.

The team at Williams Bolton BMW got right into the festive spirit with their efforts this year!

Going the Extra Mile in 2025

Everyone at Williams is incredibly proud of our support for Maggies, and absolutely loved getting involved in 2024's fundraising efforts. We look forward to continuing our support for Maggies in 2025, which has started off with a bang at Williams Liverpool. Colleagues at Williams Liverpool have been participating in a 100 mile cycling challenge at both our showroom, and service centre. Staff and customers have loved the initiative, and enjoyed getting on the bike to support Maggies.
