A holiday spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.
It is now easier than ever to visit areas of natural outstanding beauty in a vehicle that produces zero driving emissions and less noise pollution; because according to Zapmap there are now over 64,000 EV charge points available across more than 33,000 UK destinations – a year-on-year increase of 45%.
Electric vehicles (EVs) make the perfect staycation companions as they support the serenity of the green and pleasant countryside whilst producing no harmful emissions that may affect the area over time.
To further support tourists and locals in rural areas BMW has partnered with UK National Parks to install a total of 135 new EV charge points across all 15 of the UK’s National Parks. To date, 78 new charge points have been installed across seven National Parks.
Williams is thrilled to be part of the Recharge in Nature Project and we’re eager to showcase our efforts in expanding and enhancing the electric vehicle charging network. By installing charging stations at strategic locations, we're ensuring that these beautiful spots are more accessible to low-emission, quiet vehicles.

The UK’s National Parks have around 15 million visitors over July and August and 93 per cent of those visiting the National Parks travel there in their own car – wouldn’t it be great if the majority of those were driving an EV?
