Using real-time vehicle data, BMW Proactive Care can detect potential issues, notify you when action is needed and help keep your BMW running at its best, all while giving you added confidence and peace of mind every time you drive.

BMW Proactive Care combines proactive support with preventative maintenance. Your BMW continuously monitors key vehicle systems and can identify when servicing, maintenance or repairs may be required.

If action is needed, you may be contacted through the My BMW app, email, SMS or directly through your vehicle. In more urgent situations, a BMW expert may contact you by phone to help arrange support as quickly as possible.

How It Works

Your BMW’s sensors continuously monitor important vehicle data and securely transfer information to BMW systems.

If a maintenance requirement, fault or potential issue is detected:

  • The issue is analysed and prioritised by urgency
  • You’ll receive a notification through the My BMW app, email, SMS or directly in your vehicle
  • In urgent cases, a BMW expert may contact you directly by phone
  • Remote support may be provided where possible, or you can arrange an appointment with your preferred Williams BMW Centre
  • Vehicle data allows the workshop to prepare in advance and order any required parts before your visit

Getting Started

To benefit from BMW Proactive Care, simply make sure:

  • Your BMW has an active ConnectedDrive contract
  • You have accepted the current BMW ConnectedDrive terms and conditions
  • Smart maintenance and/or mobility services are activated within the vehicle
  • Your contact details are completed and up to date within your BMW ConnectedDrive profile
  • Your vehicle is linked to your BMW ID through the My BMW app

Once everything is set up, BMW Proactive Care works seamlessly in the background, helping you spend less time worrying about maintenance and more time enjoying your BMW.
