If you prefer your 2 Series Active Tourer to have a bit more pace and power, a 2.0-litre 192bhp petrol unit is the one to go for. Firing on four cylinders, it produces 280Nm of torque, 0-60mph in less than eight seconds and a maximum speed of 136ph. Nevertheless, it still manages a combined 47.6mpg figure and emissions that start at 131g/km.
With all seven seats occupied and a long journey ahead, it’s important that everyone is kept suitably entertained. Thanks to a six-speaker sound system, which includes a CD player, AM/FM radio and DAB digital tuner, you shouldn’t have any problems in that respect.
