New BMW M4 Coupé

M-badging on a BMW is a sign of potent pace, agile handling and advanced technology throughout, all of which the M4 Coupé combines within its beautiful exterior. The model shares the underpinnings of its 4 Series sibling, but injects more muscle into the engine for those who demand optimum on-road performance.

To the car's exterior BMW has succeeded in merging motorsport styling with all the luxury you expect from the leading German brand. The front includes the familiar kidney-shaped grille with an elegant chrome frame, and it sits above a bold bumper holding wide and deep air intakes with mesh inlays. The roofline remains low as it stretches over to a confident tailgate featuring M badging, a subtle spoiler-like lip and quad exhausts. Behind stylish alloy wheels are painted callipers, also featuring the iconic M logo.

The motorsport theme carries inside where branded scuff plates, steering wheel, gear lever and instrument panels leave passengers in no doubt over the model's significance. Redeveloped M seats with a shell shape help you to feel comfortable and secure when mobile, and two can also be seated in the back. Stitched leather adorns the seats, steering wheel and dashboard for an enhanced feeling of luxury and joins carbon fibre and gloss black inlays.

Motorists expect cutting-edge technology from BMW, and the M4 Coupé delivers plenty in this area. BMW ConnectedDrive Services incorporates various intelligent functions such as BMW Online Services to link you with the online world and BMW Emergency Call which assists you should an unlikely accident occur. An 8.8-inch colour display presents many other infotainment functions at the head of the dashboard, including audio details from the DAB tuner and directions from the satellite navigation system. Using the iDrive Touch Controller this technology can be commanded by touch alone for added safety.

At the heart of the Coupé is a pulsating 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine that responds instantly to a touch of the accelerator, thanks to its 550Nm of torque. The unit has also been tweaked to send 431bhp to the road or track, and surges from 0-60mph in approximately 4.1 seconds. BMW links the powertrain up to a seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic, which boasts traction-optimised automatic gear selection, launch control for aggressive standing starts and a start/stop system to bring emissions and fuel economy down.

As standard the M4 Coupé offers a generous suite of active and passive safety features designed to lower the chance of an accident and protect if one were to occur. High-strength steel has been used extensively for the structure to place you within a protective shell, and technology has also been used to keep you safe. Park Distance Control (PDC) alerts you if it detects obstacles or other vehicles when moving in or out of a space, and the tyre pressure monitor also warns if the tyre pressure is at a dangerously low level.

You can experience the M4 Coupé from behind the wheel with a test drive from any Williams BMW centre across the North West of England. Get in touch with the experts at your local site to schedule a slot soon and for more details.
