The power that lies beneath the X5’s bonnet is reflected in the vehicle’s appealingly muscular body. If fuel-efficiency is of paramount importance, there’s only really one option: a plug-in hybrid variant. With a 3.0-litre 282bhp petrol-electric engine, you can expect combined fuel consumption figures that range between 188.3mpg and 235.4mpg, and CO2 emissions from just 27g/km.
Included as part of the X5’s audio system is DAB radio, which delivers more than 250 stations in crystal-clear sound quality. AUX and USB ports and Bluetooth are featured as standard too, the latter providing audio streaming options and hands-free facility. The vehicle’s multifunction steering wheel is another way to keep across numerous onboard features, while ensuring that eyes remain focused on the road. Indeed, this full-size off-roader is extremely safe to travel in, which is why it comes with Euro NCAP’s maximum five-star crash-test rating and numerous safety features. Just one example is Automatic Emergency Braking, which alerts the driver if ever there is a risk of collision.
