 The new BMW iX

The latest edition of the BMW iX features significant upgrades to driving performance, combined with an impressive electric range. The updates to the new BMW iX portrays its uncompromisingly bold and sporty character. The modern innovations, including the new design of the illuminated BMW kidney grille with iconic glow highlights the pedigree of the iX.

Performance

The new BMW iX has seen performance enhancements across all variants. The drive system has been fine-tuned and developed to deliver significantly more power. The performance upgrades in the new BMW iX xDrive45 results in a 1.0 second improvement in acceleration from 0-62mph to 5.1 seconds. The new BMW iX xDrive60 now accelerates from 0-62mph in just 4.6 seconds. Both models have an electronically limited top speed of 124mph. It takes the new BMW iX M70 xDrive a staggering 3.8 seconds to reach 60mph from zero. The top speed of the M vehicle is 155mph.

Range

New inverter technology for the power electronics across all model variants of the new BMW iX optimises the power throughout a journey. This, combined with other efficiency-enhancing measures has resulted in a range increase of up to 40 percent depending on the model. The new BMW iX boasts a MAX RANGE function, which can increase remaining range before next charged by up to 25 percent. The BMW iX xDrive45 has a range of up to 373 miles, as does the BMW iX M70 xDrive variant. A new benchmark is set by the BMW iX xDrive60, with a range of up to 435 miles.

Charge

In addition to the increased range, the new BMW iX also offers an improved user experience for planning routes with optimised charging. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, customers can enter their destination in advance in the My BMW App, as well as their preferred departure and arrival times and any desired stopovers. Before you even set off on your journey, the new BMW iX adjusts the battery to the optimum charging temperature; speeding up the charging and shortening your wait. This can be controlled simply through your phone via the app. The new BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport charges from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes at 195kW, allowing you to quickly resume your journey.

Exterior

The new BMW iX boasts a striking, expressive presence. The front design is characterised in particular by the redesigned BMW radiator grille with a structure of vertical and diagonal lines in its interior. The BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille with contour lighting (standard for the new BMW iX M70 xDrive) is now available as a new option. The headlights have also been redesigned with vertical elements for daytime running lights and turn indicators. The standard equipment of the new BMW iX includes adaptive LED headlights with cornering light function and new city lights. The 23" BMW Individual style 1028 I multicolour aerodynamic wheels are featured, and polished inserts create an eye-catching 3D effect. The height of the vehicle was designed to overcome any obstacle. The adaptive 2-axle air suspension automatically adjusts the chassis to the necessary height.

Interior

Characterised by generous space and refined luxury, the new BMW iX resembles the epitome of driving comfort. The new M multifunction seats in perforated microfibre/sensatec or optionally with natural leather upholstery offer enhanced lateral support and a striking design. The standard package of the new iX includes a Welcome and Goodbye animation, adaptive LED headlights, Comfort Access, heated seats for driver and front passenger, heated steering wheel, Driving Assistant Plus as well as the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System. The BMW iX M70 xDrive comes loaded with extras. These include: Integral Active Steering, adaptive two-axle ride level control, M Sport package Pro and solar control glazing as standard.

The new BMW iX is arriving in Spring 2025.
