As part of Williams Liverpool BMW 50th celebrations, we are proud to be sole supporter of the ‘Liverpool Story’ film release.
From Shut Out The Light Films - the creators of Almost Liverpool 8 - comes Liverpool Story, a documentary that captures the essence of everyday life in Liverpool. This year-in-the-life feature finds beauty in the ordinary, with the city itself as the central character.
Seen through a fresh lens, the film follows Liverpool's communities and voices as they navigate a year filled with change. Like the ebb and flow of the River Mersey, Liverpool Story offers an intimate glimpse into the rhythms of the city and its people as the seasons unfold.

Shut Out The Light Films is an independent film company, founded in Liverpool in 2014 by Christie Allanson and Daniel Draper. After starting out working with local charities and groups, they now specialise in documentaries, often giving a voice to under-represented communities on film. With a hands-on and personal approach in all stages of production and distribution, Liverpool Story is Shut Out The Light’s fifth feature film to be released. Often a filming location for TV and film, Liverpool finally takes centre stage as Daniel Draper’s film finds beauty in the every day.
From the creators of "Liverpool Story", Williams Liverpool BMW has commissioned Shut Out The Light Films to create a documentary featuring the Williams family and colleagues, to celebrates its 50th year in the city.
The film is shot behind the scenes at the BMW centres on Great Howard Street and Pall Mall and reveals authentic stories of the Williams culture as it shines a spotlight on colleagues who share their experiences of working in the business over many years.
