BMW has secured twelve prestigious awards across three major automotive events, reinforcing the strength of its model line-up—especially within the electric and electrified segments. Recognised by Auto Express, EcoCar and Autotrader, the brand continues to lead across performance, innovation and usability.
At Williams, we’ve seen this echoed in growing demand across our centres. These awards confirm what our customers already know: BMW consistently delivers across the board.
BMW claimed five awards at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2025, with four different models recognised. The BMW iX secured a double win as Premium SUV of the Year and Premium Electric Car of the Year, praised for its “stunning interior” and long-distance comfort.
The BMW X3 took Premium Mid-sized SUV, impressing with cabin quality, practicality and technology. The BMW 530e was named Premium Hybrid of the Year, described as offering “an edge over any of its rivals” with strong electric range and engaging performance.
Completing the list, the BMW 2 Series Coupé was crowned Premium Coupé of the Year, praised for its classic rear-wheel-drive dynamics and driving engagement.
BMW also picked up five category wins at the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 Awards. The BMW 330e, i7, i5, and iX were all recognised—each topping its class.
The 330e was named Best Plug-in Hybrid Compact Executive Car for its seamless blend of power and efficiency. The i7 took Best Electric Luxury Car, celebrated for its refinement, comfort, and tech. The iX earned Best Electric Luxury SUV, with EcoCar calling it “like sitting in your lounge on your driveway.”
The BMW i5 rounded off the wins with a double victory as Best Electric Executive Car and Best Electric Estate Car, praised as a “masterclass in premium motoring.”
At the Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards, which are based on feedback from over 200,000 UK car owners, BMW picked up two wins. The BMW iX3 was named Best Premium Electric Car, with owners praising its design, practicality and range. The BMW i4 was voted Best Car for Families, standing out for its comfort and performance.
Autotrader’s Editorial Director, Erin Baker, summed it up:
