The BMW M2 has long stood as the benchmark for compact high-performance coupes, and now, with the introduction of the new BMW M2 CS, that legacy is elevated even further.
This exclusive model from BMW M is more than just a step up. It’s a focused, finely tuned evolution of the M2, engineered to deliver exceptional driving dynamics, lightweight construction, and an unmistakable motorsport character – on both road and track.
At the heart of the M2 CS is the high-revving 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. This unit produces a maximum output of 480 hp – a 20 hp increase over the M2 with M Race Track Package – and delivers intense performance through the rear wheels via either a 6-speed manual gearbox or 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The result is 0–62mph in just 4.0 seconds (automatic) and a raw, connected driving experience that’s becoming increasingly rare in today’s market.
The M2 CS’s character has been sharpened by the inclusion of M Carbon bucket seats and an exclusive carbon bonnet, helping to reduce weight and lower the car’s centre of gravity. Adaptive M suspension and the M Compound braking system come as standard, along with bespoke calibration that gives the M2 CS its distinctive feel – agile, responsive, and rewarding at every turn.
Externally, the model’s muscular proportions are enhanced by lightweight forged wheels, a CFRP roof and model-specific design accents that hint at its motorsport roots. Exclusive paint finishes, including the striking Frozen Isle of Man Green metallic, further distinguish the M2 CS from the standard M2.
